Capture the Falg

v1.0.3

This is a remake of the original CTF script by W'rkncacnter. Host a game
with game type "Capture the Flag" and a score limit (NOT a time
limit). Make sure you enable teams.

Default teams are red and blue.

Flags might look like actual flags, with a merged shapes patch (see the
Magenta Filter map pack). Otherwise, they will look like keycards.

To score, your flag must be in the home base. Flag carriers have their
shirts changed to white. Walk over a flag to pick it up. It will return
to your base if it's your team's flag. Flags also return to base
automatically after a set time period (25 seconds by default).

Status icons (see HUD along the top of the screen):

|=| - Team's flag is in base

 /~ - Team's flag has been taken

|X| - Team's flag has been dropped

NAKED_MEN.jpg gives a concise summary of the layout.

Use Weland to make CTF maps. Be sure to change the team color of player
spawns so they reflect the correct team. To place a flag, put chose a
team's base polygon, change its type to "Base," and choose the team color
(red or blue). There is no need to place flag/keycard items. Base
polygons spawn them automatically.

For example maps, see Magenta Filter.

Download the original script if you want to know anything else.

Changes:

v1.0.3: Hopefully proofed the script against out-of-sync (thanks again
to Hopper). Added informative text when flags are dropped
or returned. Added context-sensitive screen faders based on
	 flag get/drop/return/score.

v1.0.2: Included fixes for newer Aleph One versions, thanks to Hopper.

v1.0.1: Added status messages for certain events.

v1.0.0: Initial release.
